The Journey

Lisa Christine Alexander began her journey into movement therapy, first studying Karate and Yoga as a youth. While completing her Registered Massage Therapist Certification she studied Athletic conditioning at David Strand Studio in Toronto and explored Gabriel Roth’s 5 Rhythms Movement Therapy. Lisa began working on her own realignment after an impact injury in early 1987 under the guidance of early movement therapy, modern dance and Pilates innovators, Peter Bingham, Jane Ellison and Dianne Miller in 1987 at the Western Front Center for Performing Arts. After a long list of courses and continuing education via BCRPA and CFES, Lisa has taught over 1500 fitness classes in the last 12 years and is a stronghold in the fitness and therapeutic community of the Sunshine Coast.

Lisa uses gentle techniques in combination with Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular Therapies to address Trigger Points and other Pain Syndromes, Ligamentous Articular Strain Technique to release joint restrictions, Rehab Exercise and Home-Care Instructions, to assist you on your healing journey, toward a pain free lifestyle.

Lisa is a Registered Fitness Instructor with the BCRPA and teaches Rehab Exercise Classes which incorporate functional strength training and alignment for spinal, core and peripheral joint rehab. See her BCRPA profile here.
